The “La Caporala” estate has a history that spans three centuries, and it is intertwined with the agricultural and industrious life of Castel D’Azzano. In 2014, the Lonardi Family launched a dream project that aimed to convey a tradition of emotions and hospitality through modern accommodations. This was the beginning of an ambitious initiative, built with dedication and love. La Caporala is now more than just a place that represents the family traditions; it is a space where fallow deer live freely in the large garden,and where people come to stay and enjoy a unique and lovingly maintained space. These spaces call to us all, and create a longing to return again and again.
A Family Story of Land and Love
The project of Hotel La Caporala came about from my family’s desire to redevelop the rural properties that had been used for agricultural and residential purposes on the farm purchased by my great-grandfather Matteo Soldo in 1912. In 2014, we decided to renovate the tenant farmers’ houses into a hospitality destination so that we could share it with everyone. We wanted to create a place where we could bring together the conveniences we need today with tranquillity and tranquility for a relaxing stay. Today, La Caporala is a modern and sophisticated facility, with a focus on future sustainability. It represents all the joys, passions, trials and errors of a family adventureSimple, but ours.

The vocation of being a Modern, Elegant, and Green-Addicted Hotel
We come from the land, which means we are naturally green-addicted and we have a tendency toward creating a space with sustainable solutions for our environment. We have chosen low-consumption LED technology for internal lighting, reduced plastic use with an “essential” line of amenities, and we use Ecolab-certified cleaning products. Our electricity provider generates energy exclusively from certified renewable sources. Geothermal energy powers the heating system, and we are equipped with an electric automobile charging station.
